As the lockdown eases the Copped Hall Trust wants to trial opening up the gardens again.

So on Sunday 5th July between 2.00pm and 4.00pm "Friends of the Copped Hall Trust" are being offered the special opportunity of attending a private “Friends-only” Garden Afternoon. This Garden Afternoon will be strictly limited to existing single or joint members of the "Friends of the Copped Hall Trust" and their children under 16 but will not extend to other visitors whom you may have ordinarily wished to bring along. Precautions will be in place to respect social distancing. If the afternoon proves successful, the Trust will also consider the opening of the August Garden Afternoon. You MUST bring along your membership card and show it at the gates, otherwise you won't be allowed in. Entry will be FREE, but because we have had no income for most of this year, we would welcome donations in the tins and buckets that will be provided. Without income, the wonderful work done by the Trust both in the Mansion and the Gardens becomes much more difficult. Since our card readers may not be working, please remember to bring cash or cheques. To respect social distancing the Mansion will only be open to allow access to the lavatories. Plants and produce will be on sale in the gardens. Refreshments will be available including hot drinks and individually wrapped cakes and biscuits. There will also be the opportunity to buy pre-wrapped scones, biscuits, cakes and jams to take home with you but by all means bring picnics if you wish. However please take all rubbish home with you. The Gardens close at 5.00 pm"
