The only access drive to Copped Hall is via the white the white gates on Crown Hill (Upshire Road). The gates are the first turning on the right form the B1393 and they will be staffed when Copped Hall is open. The lodges are privately owned and it is essential not to disturb the lodge owners for access. The postcode for entry on Satnav is CM16 5HR.
Friends of the Copped Hall Trust, children under 14 years and necessary carers have free entry for Guided Tours, Garden Afternoons (including Easter Sunday). Open Days and Apple Day. On occasions dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads. There is no need to book for the above events.
MONTHLY GUIDED TOURS
Sundays: 15 January, 19 February, 19 March, 16 April, 21 May, 18 June, *16 July, 20 August, 17 September, 15 October, 19 NovemberEntry Â£8.00 per person.
Guided tours take place on the third Sunday of every month except December. Tours start at 10.00am and last about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. They cover the whole of the gardens, a large part of the mansion, the cellars and the stables. Gates will be open from 10.00am with last entry at 11.00am.
Tea, coffee and homemade cakes are available in the Raquets Court where there is also a shop selling books about Copped Hall and a range of gift items. Second hand books are on sale in the mansion. There are also permanent exhibitions on site. At most times of the year we sell seasonal fruit and vegetables from our Walled Kitchen Garden.
* In 2016 there will be an extended Guided Tour day on 16 July. Gates will be open from 10.00am with last entry at 1.00pm. Tours will be in three parts (downstairs, upstairs and gardens) and visitors will be free to choose which and how many they wish to do. Tours will leave at 15-minute intervals; each one will last no more than 1 hour. Light refreshments will be available until 2.00pm

Garden Afternoons provide an opportunity to wander round at leisure in the afternoon and talk to our gardeners. A map with brief descriptions of the gardens is given out on arrival. Refreshments are available in the Raquets Court until 4.00pm. The Trust shop will be open at the same time

There will be access to the whole of the gardens, parts of the mansion (with room stewards present), the cellars and the stables. Tea, coffee, homemade cakes and lunch are available, as well as bar selling alcoholic drinks. There are stalls and exhibitions, homemade and home- grown produce for sale, and the Trust shop will be open.
Â APPLE DAY
Sunday 8 October 2017. Gates open 11.00am â 4.00pmEntry Â£8.00 per person
Access to both gardens and mansion (room stewards) as for open days. Apple Day is a national annual celebration of our apple orchards and local distinctiveness. Join in the fun, play some traditional games, help with the juicing and have your own apples identified by our expert. There will be display and apples for slae. There will also be entertainment, refreshments and bar, lunches, produce for sale and the Trust shop.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Easter Sunday 16 April 2017. Gates open 2.00pm â 4.00pmEntry Â£5 per person. Egg hunt: 50p per child taking part.
The car park will be closed at 5.00pm and locked at 5.15pm. Children can see the Easter bunny and join in the Easter egg hunt while adults enjoy the spring flowers. There will be tea/coffee and homemade cakes available until 4.00pm and the gift shop will be open until the same time.
Â PRIVATE GROUPS FOR TOURS
Private tours of the house and grounds are welcome on weekdays and Sundays provided they do not clash with other events.Your party should have at least 20 people. Larger groups may be divided, each group having their own knowledgable and enthousiastic guide.The cost will be Â£11.00 each person which includes tea or coffee and homemade cakes. A Â£50.00 deposit will be needed to secure the data.
