Description
The tour will be of the second and third (Attic Floors) of the mansion, some areas of which are currently undergoing restoration works. Two Tour slots are available on each day starting at:
- 10.10am
- 11.30am.
Only 6 visitors per tour.
These tours are designed for those that have already attended previous Guided Tour Days. If you are new to Copped Hall please book a General Guided Tour first.
These tours will be of particular interest to Friends of the Copped Hall Trust.
Visitors are accompanied by an experienced guide and safety steward who will take you to the areas of the mansion very few people have seen.
- You will see the considerable progress of the works on these upper floors and truly appreciate the scale of the mansion and the restoration challenges.
- We will also explore how these upper floors were originally laid out and who occupied these spaces.
- New for 2026 – You will also see the complex construction work for the upper flights of the family staircase.
Each tour will last approximately 1 hour. Visitors should be on site at
- 10.00am for the first tour. Refreshments will be available at the END of the tour.
- 11.00am for the second tour, to have plenty of time for tea/coffee BEFORE the tour.
Tours will depart promptly. You will not be able to join the tour after it commences so unfortunately latecomers cannot be accommodated.
Visitors will be provided with a Hard Hat and a Hi-Viz Gillet. Nitrile gloves will be also offered to visitors as well as hand sanitizer and disposable masks.
Visitors should wear sensible shoes and warm clothing, suitable for a dusty environment.
You will, as per a normal Guided Tour Day, be able to visit our shop selling books about Copped Hall, a range of other items and, of course, our second-hand book shop.
