Everyone wants to marry Bianca. No-one wants to marry her sister Kate, the unruly and sharp-tongued shrew. So their father announces that Bianca can’t get married until he finds a husband for Kate. The situation seems hopeless. But then the boastful Petruchio blows into town to find himself a wealthy wife and is persuaded that Kate would fit the bill. In the scramble to woo the two sisters, sparks will fly and deceit, disguise and mistaken identities abound.

But is Bianca really such a catch? Is Kate really such a shrew? And can she really be tamed? Find out in Shakespeare's fast, farcical and provocative comedy.

The Greek Theatre Players are delighted to bring this famous Shakespearian play to Copped Hall for their sixteenth production at this historic venue, presented in their long-established, traditionally costumed style. Early booking is recommended for this popular event.
