Description

Back by public demand, this is a repeat of January's sell out event!! Brush away those winter blues with the most unusual experience at Copped Hall.

A chilling event, very appropriate for a cold winter night, will take place on 19th March 2022. A sequence of sinister tales accompanied by eerie sounds, performed by a number of talented artists, will echo around the mansion. Laura Hampson will tell a couple of stories including the 1775 burglary at Copped Hall and the grisly fate of Lambert Reading, accompanied by Sam Enthoven on his digital Theremin. Julia Stallard will imagine Boudicca’s visit to the area nearly two thousand years ago and explore the story of Mary Tudor at the old Copt Hall.

Guests arriving will have their ears warmed by Danelaw’s modular synthesised sounds in the Entrance Hall and sound artist “Robin the Fog” will work his magic with four quarter-inch tape machines creating live resonances never previously heard in Copped Hall.

The Copped Hall bar will be open serving drinks, including our very own beers, and a roaring log fire will be in the ground floor Servants’ Hall to great you.
