During this practical two-day course you will learn the techniques essential for repairing and re-finishing antique furniture. Bring your own furniture to work on. You will discover what you can and should not do to preserve it in an attractive and functional condition. If you do not complete the restoration during the course, you will know how to do so and for a limited period further advice will be available by phone should you need it. Materials and some tools will be provided although it is advisable to bring any that you have or can borrow. There will be instructions on how to use, adjust and sharpen woodworking tools. Your tutor, Michael Goater, is an experienced restorer and lecturer and is an accredited member and former chairman of the British Antique Furniture Restorers’ Association.
