Tickets for the Friends of Copped Hall are free on Ticketsource (recommended) however entrance is also free on the door (on production of membership card). Children Under 16 and carers are also free

Location
Mansion – Cellars, Stables, Ground and First Floor. Gardens – inc Site of Earlier Houses and Walled Garden. Access to Cellars and 1st Floor of the Mansion is currently via staircase only. Gardens are undulating/uneven lawn surfaces with some paths on a sloping site. The Walled Garden is also on a sloping site. Very limited access currently for wheelchair users.

Description
Welcome to Copped Hall for our June Open Day! The mansion and 24 acres of gardens will be open for you to explore. Our Open Days are always busy, with plenty to see and do. There are no guided tours but Room Stewards in the Mansion will on hand to answer questions in addition to a short Introductory video in the hall. You can enjoy lunch as well as the usual homemade cakes with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a barbecue hosted by Shaws Butchers of Chingford. There will also be the Copped Hall bar, pizza and ice cream vans.

New this year will be the opportunity to meet Henry VIII, with his queen Anne Boleyn and her sister Mary, brought to you by Royal Heritage Living History. Talk to the Tudor King about the time he owned Copped Hall!

Plants, cut flowers and produce will be for sale in the Walled Garden. You can also buy gifts and books in the Copped Hall Gift Shop and Book Stall. Children’s entertainer Johnny Slap, will be keeping everyone busy with slapstick comedy and various circus skills. We also have the Harmonix Choir and the Chingford Morris Men performing for the second year.

The Friends desk will be there to deal with any enquiries on the day.
